Owolabi M. Salis is a two-time graduate of Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria. Ahmadu Bello University is a federal government research university in Nigeria's Kaduna State. It is named after Sir Ahmadu Bello, the first premier of Northern Nigeria. Founded in 1962, the university operates three main campuses, including its Kongo campus, where he studied. Ahmadu Bello University's Kongo campus hosts the institution's faculties of law and administration. The university is also home to one of Nigeria's largest teaching hospitals. It is from Ahmadu Bello University that he holds his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in accounting.

University of Lagos, Nigeria:

He also studied at the University of Lagos. The University of Lagos is a public research university in Lagos, Nigeria. Nigeria's largest city sprawls inland from the Gulf of Guinea across the vast Lagos Lagoon. The University of Lagos first opened its doors in 1962. Today, major education publications rank the University of Lagos among the top universities in the world. He graduated from the Lagos-based institution with his Legum Baccalaureus in law.
